article from NYtimes about Autism and Omega 3 deficiency

Below is an article found from the New York Times Sunday Review Opinion Pages.
It shows much information about Inflammation being at the root of Autism
and many other other diseases.

OPINION

An Immune Disorder at the Root of Autism

IN recent years, scientists have made extraordinary advances in understanding the causes of autism, now estimated to afflict 1 in 88 children. But remarkably little of this understanding has percolated into popular awareness, which often remains fixated on vaccines.                                                                                                             So here’s the short of it: At least a subset of autism — perhaps one-third, and very likely more — looks like a type of inflammatory disease. And it begins in the womb.
It starts with what scientists call immune dysregulation...

It has been shown that children with autism
have much lower levels of Omega-3s than healthy children.
MILA has 3g of Omega-3s per serving.

Arthritis is inflammed joints

Great comparison of  different Arthritis from Mayo Foundation

MILA-a whole raw food- has 3g Omega-3's per 2 Tbs.  serving

"Omega-3 fatty acids are considered essential fatty acids: They are necessary for human health but the body can' t make them -- you have to get them through food.
Research shows that omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and may help lower risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and arthritis."

Eczema -

Your skin is the body's largest organ.

It's so hard to see little ones like Nelly's who have such eczema.
I believe it is from the inside,
not outside that will help calm the reaction down.
Look closer at what is being eaten...

"Because omega-3s help the body manufacture some important anti-inflammatory hormones, continually falling short could contribute to conditions related to chronic inflammation, such as asthma, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and heart disease—as well as your problem, eczema. Symptoms of a severe deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids can be dry skin, hair loss, and an impaired immune system." -David L. Katz, MD

MILA nutrient dense!

MILA is so nutrient-dense that the equivalent quantity of nutrients can only be acquired by
consuming a combination of the highest food sources of those nutrients,
an amount of food that represents approximately
6 times the calories of MILA."

What does MILA look like?

MILA is in the purple single serving scoop.

Mila® is a proprietary blend of Salvia hispanica L., more commonly known as chia seed. A long-time staple of the Incan, Mayan, Aztec and Native American cultures, chia seeds are nature’s perfect super-food! (Chia is actually the Mayan word for strength.)  For Mila, specific strains of seeds are grown to our exact specifications and then carefully blended to produce maximized nutritional value. This mixture is then processed with Lifemax’s exclusive system to optimize bioavailability.  Mila is a whole, raw food, a natural source of Omega-3s, antioxidants and phytonutrients and is a superior plant-based source of protein and fiber. As an added benefit, Mila is non-GMO, gluten-free, trans-fat free and sugar free

What's in MILA?

What’s In Mila

Protein:
Every cell in the body contains protein.  Proteins build, repair and maintain tissues throughout the entire body. Amino acids that come from protein act as the brain’s building blocks.
We Need Protein For:
  • Building (and rebuilding!) at the cellular level
  • Repairing hair, skin, nails, muscle tendons and ligaments, organs, & immune system
  • Promoting alertness, activity, energy and calmness through neurotransmitters
  • Recovering from exercise
 Antioxidants:
Antioxidants protect our cells by limiting oxidative damage to biological structures by passivating free radicals.
We Need Antioxidants For:
  • Combating free radicals for anti-aging
  • Fighting oxidative stress
  • Increasing energy
  • Improving memory
  • Protecting the omega-3s in Mila
Fiber:
There are two types of fiber: soluble and insoluble.  Soluble fiber becomes gelatinous slowing the rate of sugar and carbohydrate absorption.  Insoluble fiber creates a bulking action in the intestine improving bowel health and colon transit time with absorbing toxins.
We Need Fiber For:
  • Digestive wellness
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Regularity
  • Detoxification
  • Blood sugar balancing
  • Energy balance
  • Weight management
Phytonutrients:
Phytonutrients are chemical compounds that are naturally found in plants and thought to promote human health.
We Need Phytonutrients For:
  • Boosting immune response
  • Reducing inflammation
